Minister Šibonjić discussed the launch of the REZ IT and AI academy, which from September will introduce artificial intelligence training into the public sector.
The Minister of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton, Samir Šibonjić, together with Prime Minister Nezir Pivić, held a meeting with the Director of the REZ agency, Ismet Sarajlić, at which continued cooperation on the development of IT infrastructure and the digital transformation of the canton was confirmed. The meeting focused on concrete steps for introducing digital competences into the public sector and the economy.
The key topic of the talks was the launch of the REZ IT/AI academy, which from September will deliver training in the field of artificial intelligence, first for public administration employees and subsequently for the economy and young people. Zenica-Doboj Canton will thereby be among the first cantons in Bosnia and Herzegovina to systematically introduce artificial intelligence education into the public sector, creating a basis for the long-term strengthening of digital skills.
Minister Šibonjić emphasised that joint investment in digital competences, innovation and the development of IT infrastructure would continue to build a more competitive economy and create better opportunities for citizens. The shared goal identified was the development of Zenica-Doboj Canton into one of the leaders of digital transformation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, confirming the Ministry's commitment to remaining a strong partner in projects that connect public administration, the economy and young people.
