Ministry of Economy of ZDK and REZ Agency Present Joint IT Infrastructure Development Project

A meeting was held at the Ministry of Economy of the Zenica-Doboj Canton at which the details of the project "Development of IT Infrastructure in ZDK" were presented. The meeting was attended by Cantonal Ministers of Economy Samir Sibonjic and Finance Dženana Čišija, as well as representatives of the Regional Development Agency for the Central BiH Region (REZ).

The project aims to transform ZDK into a regional centre for IT innovation through strengthening infrastructure, supporting start-up companies, and creating an innovative working environment. The main focus is on the further development of the Zencode IT Hub in Zenica, as well as on improving IT infrastructure for hubs and incubators in Zavidovići and Maglaj. The project will be implemented in cooperation with the City of Zavidovići and the Municipality of Maglaj, with the support of the Zenica-Doboj Canton as the financier.

REZ Agency representatives noted that the project will encompass all key stakeholders, including educational institutions, the private sector, and local authorities, to ensure sustainability and long-term success. The first steps include preparing infrastructure and launching educational programmes that will enable young talents and entrepreneurs to realise their ideas and contribute to community development.
