Sibonjic: REZ is an important agency, together we will work on creating a more favorable business environment

Minister of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton Samir Sibonjic visited the Regional Development Agency for the Central BiH Region REZ. At the working meeting, discussions covered the existing cooperation between the agency and the Canton, as well as specific project proposals and ideas in the areas of economy and economic development. An analysis was also conducted of the 2023 programme for subsidising the costs of launching business ideas and registering business entities in the Canton, financed by the Canton with implementation support from REZ.

Discussions also addressed what the Regional Agency can offer the Canton in terms of projects realisable in the short and long term, and what the Canton can offer the agency to enable it to operate at full capacity. The aim is to enhance cooperation for the benefit of the economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton and to achieve mutually satisfactory results.

Minister Sibonjic highlighted that REZ is one of the most significant development agencies given the strength and importance of the economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton. He expressed confidence that through joint efforts the agency would be returned to the centre of activities, with the goal of further improving the business environment and highlighting the competitive advantages the Canton offers to domestic and foreign investors.
