Minister Sibonjic Met with Yalcin Topcu, Chief Advisor to the President of the Republic of Turkey

Minister of Economy of the Zenica-Doboj Canton Samir Sibonjic met in Ankara with Yalçın Topçu, Chief Advisor to the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Discussions focused on economic cooperation and bilateral relations, with particular reference to the upcoming General Fair of BiH Economy ZEPS 2024, the participation of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce at the fair, and the potential for developing business between Turkish and Bosnian-Herzegovinian companies.

At the start of the meeting, tribute was paid to the victims of the Srebrenica genocide. Minister Sibonjic expressed gratitude to the Republic of Turkey and President Erdoğan for their support to Bosnia and Herzegovina, highlighting that ZEPS 2024 presents an outstanding opportunity to strengthen friendship through concrete business cooperation, where Turkish companies can present themselves to the wider region and Canton companies can establish new business contacts.

It was agreed that in the coming period, representatives of economic institutions of the Republic of Turkey, primarily the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, will visit the Zenica-Doboj Canton and Zenica to prepare for their participation at this year's ZEPS, to be held from 1 to 5 October.
