

Minister Sibonjic Invited Turkish Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat to Officially Open ZEPS 2026
Minister Sibonjic invited Turkish Trade Minister Ömer Bolat to officially open ZEPS 2026 in Zenica.
Minister of Economy of the Zenica-Doboj Canton Samir Sibonjic met with Minister of Trade and Customs of the Republic of Türkiye Ömer Bolat, discussing cooperation to date and the improvement of trade relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Türkiye. Minister Sibonjic thanked his Turkish counterpart for the support provided by the Ministry of Trade, the Government and the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye, as well as the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce headed by Şekib Avdagić, during the return of the ZEPS fair.
Minister Sibonjic invited Minister Bolat to visit and officially open ZEPS 2026, to be held in Zenica from 2 to 5 September 2026, together with Turkish business people. Meetings were also held with representatives of Turkish companies operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina, organised by DEIK headed by Hasan Topaloğlu, at which possibilities for increasing trade between the two countries were discussed.
Cooperation to date has resulted in a more than 30-fold increase in trade, which this year stands at approximately USD 1.2 billion, with an increase in exports from Bosnia and Herzegovina of around USD 52 million. Minister Sibonjic emphasised the goal of pushing trade beyond USD 2 billion, highlighting the numerous advantages that Bosnia and Herzegovina offers to investors.
