New IT HUB Opened at REZ Agency Premises - A Great Opportunity for IT Sector Development
The most modern IT centre in BiH ceremonially opened at the REZ Agency in Zenica, a 550,000 KM investment supported by the ZDK Ministry of Economy.
The REZ Agency, in cooperation with and with the support of the ZDK Ministry of Economy, ceremonially opened a new IT HUB. The opening was performed by ZDK Minister of Economy Samir Sibonjic and ZDK Assembly member Goran Bulajić, with other ministers, representatives of the City of Zenica, and IT companies in attendance. The total investment amounts to approximately 550,000 KM, with the ZDK Government contributing 200,000 KM, the Federal Ministry of Entrepreneurship 50,000 KM, and the REZ Agency providing premises valued at approximately 300,000 KM.
The IT HUB occupies 200 square metres of modern space equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including Cisco Meraki network equipment, modern 34-inch monitors, and fibre optic connectivity at 200/200 Mbps. The facility offers 40 comfortable workstations, two equipped meeting rooms, a kitchen, and functional spaces. It is designed as a coworking space and IT incubator for freelancers and all those working in information technology.
Minister Sibonjic noted that this is the most modern IT centre for digital technology development in BiH, and that the decision to launch the project was made just three months prior. The goal of the IT HUB is to serve as a foundation for IT sector development in the Zenica-Doboj Canton and the wider region, and to motivate local communities to launch similar initiatives to build competitiveness in the future market.
