Sibonjic: Work Accelerating on Opening New Business Zones Particularly Attractive to Diaspora Investors
Minister Sibonjic visited a diaspora company in Bovezzo and highlighted new business zones attractive to diaspora investors.
Minister of Economy of the Zenica-Doboj Canton Samir Sibonjic visited the company "Mz carpenterie metalliche" in Bovezzo (Brescia), owned by successful diaspora businessman Zlatan Bešlagić. The company was founded in 2018 and now operates in a 700 m² production facility, manufacturing all types of metal structures and furnaces for ironworks. The administrative side of the business is managed by his wife Mirela.
Due to increased business volume, the Bešlagić family is expanding operations to Bosnia and Herzegovina by establishing the company Mirmetali in Žepče, which will operate on the same principles as the company in Italy but in a significantly larger production space of approximately 2,500 m². This example demonstrates how the knowledge and experience of diaspora members can be key drivers of economic development in the canton.
Minister Sibonjic emphasised that work in the Zenica-Doboj Canton is accelerating on expanding existing and opening new business zones, including the new business zone in Vozuća, which are particularly attractive to diaspora investors. He stressed the Ministry commitment to ensuring conditions for the realisation of business ideas, with a focus on enhancing cooperation with Bosnian-Herzegovinian business people worldwide.
