TUBODER Delegation Visited the Minister of Economy of the Zenica-Doboj Canton

A delegation from TUBODER, led by President Yaşar Tufan, visited Minister of Economy of the Zenica-Doboj Canton Samir Sibonjic at the Ministry headquarters. President Tufan expressed gratitude for the reception and noted that thanks to visionary leaders, this region can become a significant centre of attraction for investors, adding that TUBODER stands ready to serve as a bridge between Zenica and Turkey.

Minister Sibonjic extended an open invitation to the Turkish business community, highlighting that the Zenica-Doboj Canton is one of the most developed industrial regions in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Spanning 3,344 km², the canton offers investment opportunities across numerous sectors, including wood, food, mineral water, metal, construction and furniture industries. The Minister particularly emphasised that the canton exports exceed its imports, and that comprehensive support is provided to investors in terms of infrastructure and production capacities.

The importance of cooperation on social projects was also highlighted, particularly in agriculture, rural development and education, with the Ministry expressing readiness for joint initiatives with non-governmental organisations and business representatives from Turkey. Minister Sibonjic stressed the Ministry willingness to provide full support in facilitating procedures for Turkish investors, including information on various incentive packages.

Special attention was devoted to the Vozuća industrial zone, which administratively belongs to the municipality of Zavidovići and which, thanks to its strategic location, proximity to the airport and developed transport infrastructure, is emerging as one of the most important investment zones in the region. The Minister announced infrastructure support, tax incentives and other benefits for investors, along with comprehensive measures to improve existing infrastructure and construct new industrial facilities.

The meeting was also attended by Elvir Ajanović, organiser of the international fair to be held in Zenica from 10 to 13 September 2025, who expressed readiness to support all initiatives aimed at strengthening cooperation with Turkish entrepreneurs and companies.
