Visit to ef. Čamdžić: Around 100 Returnees from Abroad Employed in Zavidovići and Žepče

The Minister of Economy of Zeničko-Dobojski Canton, Samir Sibonjic, visited the head imam of the Majlis of the Islamic Community in Zavidovići, hadži Izet ef. Čamdžić. The meeting was also attended by the Secretary of the Majlis, hadži Elvir ef. Mehić.

Minister Sibonjic briefed ef. Čamdžić on the activities of the Ministry of Economy and the ZDK Government aimed at strengthening the canton's economy. The measures being undertaken are designed to support economic development which, with additional subsidies, would enable greater employment, slow the departure of the workforce and facilitate the return of citizens from temporary employment in Western European countries.

The Minister also presented data on ZDK's export performance, as well as recorded cases of citizens returning from abroad to companies in Žepče and Zavidovići. Approximately 100 workers have found employment in four domestic companies upon their return.

Ef. Čamdžić expressed his support for all positive processes aimed at improving the standard of living of the population. The discussion focused in particular on the need for additional education across all segments of the population, with both sides agreeing that active civic participation in social processes is essential for the advancement of the community.
