Alma RAS is proof of the success of the ZDK economy not only in regional but also in European frameworks

Minister of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton Samir Sibonjic visited the domestic textile company Alma RAS in Olovo and its founder and owner Đemal Memagić, who also serves as the successful mayor of the Municipality of Olovo. Alma RAS stands as an exemplary company and proof of why the economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton is competitive not only in regional but also in European frameworks.

Minister Sibonjic emphasised that knowledge, dedication and hard work have brought Alma RAS to the position of the most significant brand in the domestic textile industry, having earned its place in both domestic and foreign markets. Employing more than 1,300 workers, the company falls into the category of large enterprises and represents a significant factor of social stability in the region. The Minister congratulated the management and all employees on their contributions to the economy and the country, wishing them continued success.

Alma RAS began operations in Olovo in 1998, symbolically founded on International Women's Day, and has since recorded constant growth — from a small family workshop to the market leader in fine underwear and sleepwear on the domestic market. Today, the company employs more than 1,300 people, operates 20 retail boutiques, five franchises, three outlets and a web shop. Production is spread across six cities with a total of thirteen facilities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, while the retail network has expanded to Slovenia, Montenegro and other European markets.
