Final conference of the Covid-19 Business Information Hub project at the FBiH Chamber of Commerce. EU-funded project worth 13.7 million euros.

The ceremonial closing conference of the "Covid-19 Business Information Hub - Help Desk" project was held at the premises of the Chamber of Commerce of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo, attended by representatives of state, federal and cantonal institutions, domestic and international organisations, and business entities. The European Union and the Federal Republic of Germany jointly supported this project within the broader EU4BusinessRecovery programme, which provides support to Bosnia and Herzegovina in mitigating the economic consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The project's focus is based on the Help Desk platform Business Information Hub, which recorded more than 30,000 visits in the period from April 2022 to March 2023. Within the e-learning module, 13 free training sessions were implemented, attended by 361 participants, of whom 210 were women. The project is designed to support micro, small and medium enterprises in the recovery process, with a particular focus on the metal and wood sectors.

The total value of the EU4BusinessRecovery project amounts to 13.7 million euros, jointly financed by the European Union and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany. The project is implemented by GIZ, ILO and UNDP, while the Chamber of Commerce of FBiH will continue providing support to enterprises through the enhanced information platform even after the project's completion. Minister Sibonjic attended the conference as a representative of Zenica-Doboj Canton.
