Continuation of the Business Stay in the Republic of Turkey: Visit to Ödemiş Municipality
The ZDK delegation continued its business stay in Turkey with a visit to Ödemiş Municipality and a meeting with Mayor Mehmet Eriş and the Bosniak diaspora.
The delegation of Zenica-Doboj Canton continued its business stay in the Republic of Turkey with a series of meetings, visits, and discussions. During the visit to the Municipality of Ödemiş in the Izmir region, the delegation was received by Mayor Mehmet Eriş, with whom business opportunities and possibilities for establishing cooperation were discussed.
A particularly moving part of the visit was the encounter with members of the Bosniak diaspora settled in the village of Krakova near Izmir. Although their ancestors left Bosnian-Herzegovinian territory more than 100 years ago, members of this community still speak the Bosnian language to this day, preserving their cultural heritage and ties to their homeland.
In addition to business discussions with representatives of Ödemiş Municipality about economic opportunities, the visit also confirmed the depth of human and cultural ties between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Turkey, which transcend purely institutional frameworks of cooperation.
