Minister of Economy of ZDK Sibonjic Spoke with Representatives of RMU Zenica

Minister of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton Samir Sibonjic spoke in his office with representatives of the Brown Coal Mine Zenica about the situation at this mine and activities related to the granting of a concession for coal exploration and exploitation. It was noted that RMU Zenica faces problems when verifying documentation, projects and studies that fall under the jurisdiction of the Federal Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry.

Minister Sibonjic emphasised that it is unacceptable that at a time when the price and demand for coal on the world market is rising, miners do not receive earnings sufficient for a dignified life. He noted that precisely such market conditions represent an opportunity to save the mines and ensure adequate conditions for all employees in the mining sector.

The minister expressed readiness to find efficient solutions in order to sign a concession contract with RMU Zenica and announced that he would soon visit this mine. The condition for the verification of the required documentation is precisely the signing of a concession contract with the Ministry of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton.
