Minister Šibonjić visited the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Ankara

Minister of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton Samir Šibonjić visited the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Republic of Türkiye as part of an official visit to Ankara. A meeting was held at the Embassy with Military Attaché Izudin Muharemović and Minister Counsellor Tamara Đogo-Kovačević. The visit followed a meeting with representatives of the local authorities in the capital of the Republic of Türkiye.

The Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Ankara serves as the central point of our country's diplomatic activity in the Republic of Türkiye and plays an important role in connecting Bosnian-Herzegovinian institutions and businesses with Turkish partners. The work of the diplomatic and consular network secures contacts with potential investors, provides support to business delegations and maintains continuity in communication between the institutions of the two countries. This institutional support is precisely the precondition for the realisation of concrete projects at the level of cantons and municipalities.

The meeting addressed opportunities for improving cooperation, with particular emphasis on the economy, investment and the connecting of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the Republic of Türkiye. The interlocutors also reviewed the Embassy's activities to date in supporting business initiatives, as well as the ways in which Zenica-Doboj Canton can make use of the existing diplomatic channels in attracting investment. Minister Šibonjić thanked the Embassy staff for their hospitality and for their dedicated work on strengthening relations between the two friendly countries. The Ministry of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton remains committed to cooperation with the diplomatic missions of Bosnia and Herzegovina abroad with the aim of opening new economic opportunities.
