Minister Šibonjić Visits the Completed Zeleni Predah Project in Kovači

Minister of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton Samir Šibonjić visited the completed "Zeleni predah" project - the landscaping and arrangement of the outdoor space surrounding the Kovači Local Community centre - accompanied by local residents. The visit gave the Minister an opportunity to see firsthand the results of investments realised through cooperation between the Ministry of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton and the local community during 2026.

The "Zeleni predah" (Green Retreat) project was conceived to create a functional and aesthetically arranged environment for rest and leisure, serving the residents of Kovači across all generations. The renovation of the area surrounding the Local Community building has provided a gathering space that meets the everyday needs of the local population, from the youngest to the oldest. The project stands as a concrete example of how coordinated action between institutions and local communities can produce visible and lasting improvements to quality of life.

During the visit, Minister Šibonjić engaged with residents on the importance of such projects for local communities and the prospects for further development. Particular recognition was extended to the Women's Association Kovači, whose contribution enriched the occasion and reinforced a sense of community. "Joint work between institutions and the local community yields concrete, visible results," said Minister Šibonjić, reaffirming the Ministry's commitment to projects that directly improve the everyday lives of citizens throughout Zenica-Doboj Canton.
