Ministry of Economy of ZDK: Contracts Signed for Construction of Industrial Zones with Four Local Communities

Contracts for the construction of industrial zones were signed at the Ministry of Economy of the Zenica-Doboj Canton with the City of Zavidovići and the municipalities of Tešanj, Usora and Olovo. The agreements enable further investment by the Government of the Zenica-Doboj Canton in industrial zone infrastructure and support to local communities and investors. Minister of Economy Samir Sibonjic emphasised that the Ministry and the Government continuously invest in industrial zones, creating the best possible conditions for companies and investors.

Industrial production growth in the canton in the first 11 months of the year stood at approximately 10 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, with exports continuing to grow. Mayor of Zavidovići Erna Merdić Smailhodžić expressed gratitude to Minister Sibonjic and the ZDK Government led by Prime Minister Nezir Pivić for continuous support to local communities through public calls, noting that the City of Zavidovići received 100,000 KM for infrastructure works in the Majdanska Polja industrial zone.

Assistant to the Mayor of the Municipality of Usora Ivica Labudović highlighted the significance of the Ministry's support in implementing the third phase of the Ularice urban zone construction project, noting that the support to date has reached millions and enabled significant economic development for the municipality. The signed contracts represent a concrete continuation of the ZDK Government's policy of investing in the economy and local communities to strengthen industrial zones, stimulate employment and develop the economy throughout the canton.
