UK Ambassador Visited ZDK Government: Support for Adriatic Metals Investment in Vareš
UK Ambassador Julian Reilly visited the ZDK Government and expressed full support for the Adriatic Metals investment in Vareš.
The Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Julian Reilly, was on an official visit to Zenica-Doboj Canton where he met with Prime Minister Nezir Pivić, Government ministers, and Speaker of the Assembly Ćazim Huskić. Ambassador Reilly emphasized that the United Kingdom provides full support for the security, stability, and integrity of BiH, particularly highlighting the importance of UK investments in ZDK, the largest being Adriatic Metals' investment in reviving mining in Vareš.
Prime Minister Pivić informed the Ambassador about the Government's key activities as it marks its first 100 days in office. He noted that the economy is a particular focus, and that ZDK provides maximum support to the Adriatic Metals mine in Vareš, set to officially launch on March 5. This largest post-war investment in BiH benefits the municipality of Vareš and the entire Canton's economy, while returning ZDK to the focus of major Western investors.
Pivić also emphasized that Adriatic Metals is a leader in applying technologies with zero environmental impact, and that the Government is committed to fighting corruption, strengthening the health sector, and creating conditions for attracting new investments. He thanked the UK Government for its continuous support to BiH.
