Vice-Rectors of Balıkesir University Visit the ZDK Ministry of Economy

The ZDK Ministry of Economy was visited by vice-rectors from Balıkesir University, Prof. Dr. Fatih Satıl and Prof. Dr. Murat Doğdubay, who held discussions with Minister of Economy Samir Sibonjic. Minister Sibonjic introduced the guests to the economic potential of the Zenica-Doboj Canton and, together with the Acting Director of the ZDK Tourist Board Jasmin Šarić, presented plans for tourism development in the Canton.

Prof. Dr. Murat Doğdubay, as one of the leading experts in tourism and gastronomy development, shared experiences from tourism development and tourist destinations across the Republic of Türkiye. He particularly emphasised that Bosnia and Herzegovina has enormous potential for tourism growth and development, and expressed readiness to provide expert assistance in that process.

Such academic meetings represent a significant contribution to strengthening bilateral relations in the fields of education and tourism, and open possibilities for future cooperation between university institutions and economic entities in both regions.
